A section of the Koolmoon Creek track follows the Jirrbal Aboriginal people's traditional pathway the: Djilgarrin track. It is recommended that you begin the Djilgarrin track from the Ravenshoe end (off Tully Falls Road), as the track is very steep in places.

Views of Elizabeth Grant Falls cascading over 300m onto Koolmoon Creek, can be experienced from a lookout 4.2km return off the Koolmoon Creek track. Tully Falls Road is not accessible from Cardstone Road, walkers will need to travel to Ravenshoe. The upper section of Koolmoon Creek (from Walter's waterhole to Koolmoon Creek Headwaters) features creek crossings, waterholes and panoramic views of Tully Gorge from the Rhyolite Pinnacle. The section of the walk to Bally Knob offers superb views of the western ranges and the rainforests of the upper tablelands. From this track you can access Little Millstream falls in Millstream National Park.
